Abstract

Link grammar is a model of formal grammar developed by Daniel Sleator and David Temperley[1]. A link grammar consists of a set of words, each of which ha a linking requirement. A sequence of words is a correct sentence if there is away to draw arcs (links) among the words to satisfy three conditions: planarity, connectivity, satisfaction. The formalism of link grammars has been used in parsing English, German, Russian, Turkish, Chinese and other languages. Several translation systerms have been buil to translate from  English to German, Indonesian Bahasa, etc. To the extent of our knowledge, we have not seen any research on link parser for Vietnamese yet.
